This week in literacy we learned about the Mariana Trench and the deepest parts of the ocean, we started off by reading this text on Monday and then we did so must-dos and activities. On this slide, you will see the activities and facts that I wrote and learned about.

Facts About Earthquakes

Extreme Earthquakes

This week in literacy we learned about earthquakes. On Monday we read the text we were given about earthquakes and started a slide, we also started are must do's. Our must do activities were answering 2 questions about the hypercentre and the epicenter, we also had to make up two questions our self and the answers had to be in the text and we had to write a poem or a rap about earthquakes.

On Tuesday we continued our must do's and started our activities. We had to choose at least 2 of the 3 activities to do. I choose to make an infographic and an earthquake emergency pack with all the things you need if you were in a big earthquake

Finally, on Thursday, we got everything finished. Here is my DLO of earthquakes:

My next step is to learn more about earthquakes had how it got its name.

Facts About Hurricanes

Huge Hurricanes

This week in literacy we were learning about Hurricanes and how they work.

First, we read the text and created a DLO ( Digital Learning Object) about the facts we had learned and all the questions we had to ask about the text.

Next, we started our activities and we also learned some cool facts like how do hurricanes move or Hurricanes in the northern hemisphere turn differently to the ones in the southern hemisphere.

Lastly, we finished our slide and completented it. Here is the slide with all of my activities.  Not yet finished.

My next step is to learn more about hurricanes and how many hurricanes there are in the world.

How To Create A Great Blog Post

Today we looked at google doc of how to make a quality blog so I'm giving it a try now. We have looked at the doc red all the steps there are six of them. There are three types of bloggers: Beginner, Stepping up and Smart Learner. Here is a google slide to explain more.

I have not used a rubric before. I would like to be in the green part of the rubric and be a smart learner.  I think I am in the Orange part, so my next step is to be in the green part

Dancing Like The Stars

On Tuesday night the second of July 2019, we had our performance for Dancing Like The Stars. Our dance was choreographed by our amazing dance teacher Shawn, Our theme of the dance was Bollywood, it was very fun learning the dance and it was even more fun performing the dance. My personal favorite part of the night was when we got to see all the other schools dancing and watching Aaron and Vanessa dance after our performance. Here is the video of us dancing:

My next step is to learn more types of dance. I really enjoyed doing the dance and I hope you liked watching it😀

My Achievements In Literacy

My Highlights:

This term in literacy we have been learning about a lot of things but my personal favorite is our persuasive work because we got to make our own advertisements, I made an advertisement about my own store named little pizza street, here is the poster:

My Second highlight of the term is NZ sign language week because we got to learn the alphabet and the numbers in NZ sign language.

Something I would like to work on though is the amount a steps web I do because I have not done much lately. I would also like to work on how fast I get my work done.
