On Friday the 1st of December Gilberthorpe school (and a  couple of other school) went to Jellie park and I played with three people for the whole school day and that was : Stephanie, Shyla and Mikayla k. I was trying to help Stephanie and Shyla swim but Shyla didn’t go to the dep end with out a pool toy, but she could stand at the very end. Shyla, Stephanie and I where doing races and I won all of them :).

We went for are play day and I had so much fun, After we had don the races we where playing mermaids and I was helping Shyla swim. Before we went in the pool the teachers had to put sun block on us. I played mermaids for most of the time with Mikayla k, Stephanie and Shyla. For lunch we had a Sausage sizzle and it was super yummy, for morning tea I had 2 cookies and dorito’s.

Introduction…

I believe that fidget spinners should  NOT  be  allowed in the classroom. I will give you  3 reasons why...

Reason 1: My first reason is they make us lose table points because they make us lose focus of are work and that is not good.

Reason 2: They are too distracting  and they can hurt you a if you put it near your neck. They make the teachers have a headache because it makes you not pay attention and they are too noisy.

Reason 3: Another reason is because people ask for it and then they don’t give it back and then you lose it forever.

So there are my 3 reasons why I think fidget spinners should NOT be allowed in the classroom and they should not be allowed in the school.

Fact 2:Capt Cook's date of birth and death is he was born on the 7/11/1728 and death is 14/2/1779 and he was 50

 years old

Fact 3: How tall is  Capt Cook? he is over 6 feet tall.

The port hills fire

This is my recount about the port hills fire

The fire on the port hills

On monday afternoon we think an electrical fault made a massive fire on the port hills! There were lots of people affected by the port hills fire.

One of the group of people affected was the farmers.They were shocked when they saw massive flames coming their way. At the end of the day I think they felt upset because they lost some things important to them like their home and some of their animals.

I hope they can build their business up again so that they can make more money.

My cousin Loghan hurt her head on a glass window Bang! Her head started to bleed. We ran inside we put ice on her head. It was bleeding down her head .It was dripping and dripping down her head .when we looked at her head we saw a hole in her head bleeding. When we put ice on her head she side Ouch! That hurts.After that we took all of of her hire.2 hours later she was better.

Never go swimming alone, go with a buddy. Enjoy swimming and feel safe in water Don’t run around pools. When you are in the sea stay in the flags , do not go pass the flags. Look before you dive in lakes and the sea.Learn to swim before you try.  Floaters can help you in water so you won’t sink in the sea,lakes and pools.Read pool rules before you go in a pool.If you are short don’t go to a deep pool if you are not a good at swimming.Don’t push or jump on others.Put lifejacket on if you are in the sea so you won’t sink.No eating in pools.
